Mapusa Axis Bank gutted

Goods worth Rs 4 lakh were gutted in a fire at the Mapusa branch of Axis Bank on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, goods like office furniture, computers and air conditioners, all worth Rs 4 lakh were destroyed.
Speaking to Herald, Mapusa Fire Station Junior Officer P U Vainganker said that after receiving the information from the security guard of the bank at about 7.10 am, they rushed to the site. The entire extinguishing operation took over two hours.
Meanwhile, Bank Manager Ashwin Munjeswar in a police complaint with Mapusa police has stated that goods worth Rs 4 lakh were destroyed in the fire and the cause of fire was short circuit.
