The traffic routes from Green Park Junction to Mapusa will be closed ahead of Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit. Traffic entering from the Porvorim side will diverted through Guirim to Parra and from Parra to Mapusa as roads will be closed from 4pm-9pm. The exit from Mapusa will be through Tari, Bastora and through Peddem highway.
The vehicles will have to take the diversion at Green Park junction that goes to Aradi Guirim. From Aradi to Guirim Panchayat, Namoshi Junction, Mutton Shop Junction Parra, Milton Marques Circle, Canca Junction and back to Gandhi Circle at Mapusa.
Other exits and entries to and from Mapusa city: –
1. Hutatma Chowk, Mapusa Union pharmacy, Mapusa market, St. Jerome Church, Tar junction.
2. Hutatma Chowk, Old Municipality, Court junction, North District Hospital, Peddem junction.
3. Hutatma Chowk, to Old Municipality, Court junction, Duler football ground, Karaswadda or Marna Siolim.
Parking for function: –
Buses operating on the interstate will be parked close to the Monte Guirim service road. Bodgini Field, next to the Carvalo gas pump, is where the route buses will park and operate (Canca Side). Behind the interstate bus station is a general parking area for two and four wheels. Event bus parking will be on the Guirim side, across from the Bhodgeshwar temple. Two-wheeler and VIP parking is available at the former KTC bus stop.
