PANJIM: The under liquidation The Mapusa Urban Co-operative Bank of Goa Limited has given 15 days time as last and final opportunity to all the loanees to pay their loans.
The bank has warned that if loanees fail to repay the loans by March 31 then the liquidator will be forced to rigorously pursue coercive action according to the law for recovery of loan amount with interest accrued thereon as arrears of land revenue under the Goa Land Revenue Code through District Magistrate, North Goa and South Goa.
The bank has also warned of publishing the names of all defaulting loanees on the Bank website and also in the media as wilful defaulters. The KYC details of such loanees will also be made available to other banks, the public notice has further warned.

Through a notice issued on Sept 30, 2020 called upon all persons, who had availed loans to repay their entire loans, irrespective of the period for which the loan was granted by May 31, 2021. The bank had also launched One-Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme to expedite the repayment of outstanding loans. Some loanees took advantage of the OTS scheme and settled their dues while, some loanees have neither cleaned their dues nor have they applied for OTS scheme.
The bank is under liquidation since April 16, 2020.
