Roads in Aquem – at Vidyanagar and towards Gogol – were in bad condition, while the Comba subway at the railway tracks was submerged as usual, virtually making it inaccessible.
The locals’ fear that the condition of the roads would worsen in the monsoons turned out to be true as mud patchwork near the sewerage chambers around the municipal garden and police station loosened up with the rains and traffic.
