Claiming that Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar’s nephew, Siddhesh Parab who in 2012 was appointed as Deputy Director of the IT department on contract basis was later given a permanent post after Parsekar took office.
“He held onto the IT portfolio and it seems that he managed to get his nephew a permanent post at the department, while also being able to transfer Nilesh Faldesai to the Infotech Corporation,” said Tamankar.
He also poked holes in the IT policy that, he claims, barely had the opinions and suggestions of the entrepreneurs incorporated into it.
“Why not let entrepreneurs have a look at the policy and give their suggestions rather than simply notifying it? That way they can demand for what they would think better for the industry,” he said.
He questioned the number of industries the State had seen open in the last couple of years adding there was a money racket in the IT habitats and parks that were meant to open in the State in the past.
