MARGAO: After nearly 111 years of celebration,there will be no public celebration and no Margao Dindi procession due to the COVID-19 Pandemic this year. The Margao Hari Mandir Temple Committee and the Comba Vithal Mandir Committee have conveyed the decision after discussing the event.
Margao Dindi has been one of the most awaited festival celebrations in Goa as it is largely attended by people from across the State and the country as well. As COVID-19 has put the society in the new normal, the Margao Dindi celebration too has been curtailed to avoid the spread of the infectious coronavirus.

The Committee President of Hari Mandir Margao, Suhas Kamat, said that except for the religious rituals inside the temple there will be no festivities and activities outside the temple and within the town.
