The Margao Municipal Council launches an anti-encroachment drive at various footpaths across the town. The drives were launched opposite the Margao Railway Station, at Borda and at Power House circle. Kiosk owners opposite the Margao Railway Station resisted the dismantling of their kiosks since they argued that they were there for many years. MMC authorities said they were blocking the footpaths.
