The Goa Government has begun
demarcation of the land for the proposed IIT Goa project at Sanguem under
police protection Friday. Sanguem MLA Subhash Phaldessai has said that the
project will not affect any fertile land. He said bogus farmers were trying to
hinder the project. Farmers said they are not bogus. “We own this land and we
cultivate this land. Don’t call us bogus,” they shot back.
