PANJIM: Margao Outline Development Plan (ODP) will be reviewed as lots of complaints have been received against the plan, South Goa Planning and Development Authority (SGPDA) Chairman Wilfred D’Sa said on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters here, D’Sa said, “I will review the ODP of Margao as lot of complaints have been received. I will send the ODP to the government.”
SGPDA finalised the ODPs for Margao and Ponda in May.
Margao ODP includes heritage conservation area titled the “Goa Tinto Project”, setting up an entrance gateway to Fatorda and Margao, earmarking Dambab Talli, St Joaquim Chapel, Borda and Hospicio Hospital as heritage conservation area. Over 54,000 square metres of land located behind the wholesale fish market that was earmarked as a transport zone is now earmarked as community farming hub under the new plan.
There is a town hall proposal for Fatorda, and also recreational biodiversity park proposal. A land strip opposite Ravindra Bhavan has been earmarked as a recreational zone.
