MARGAO: Margao New Market Traders Association on Sunday demanded that the Margao Municipal puts in place a dedicated overhead water tank to meet the fire fighting requirements and has called upon the authorities to solve the parking problem plaguing the market.
A meeting of the association at the Lingayat Hall on Sunday morning also resolved to install CCTC cameras in the entire market to keep burglars at bay and to also check on encroachments.
After the meeting, association president Vinod Shirodkar told the media that the market traders have called upon the Municipal body to take up on top most priority the construction of the overhead water tank to meet fire emergencies.
