“I have made it public that I will be contesting the forthcoming assembly polls from Dabolim on BJP ticket. It is a matter of time now when I am going to resign and formally embrace the BJP. I am just waiting for certain things to happen and then I will join the BJP,” Godinho told reporters in Vasco, on Tuesday.
He said that he took the decision of leaving Congress after he was completely disappointed with the party and had even expressed his feelings to the party high command in Delhi informing them about his future move of joining the BJP.
On the Congress indictment of the government, he said, “When I read the Congress charge-sheet, I really laughed at it.”
