Meet fruit juice seller DUDU of Vagator

Undertrail in narco case, David Driham operates juice shop at major EDM festival

VAGATOR: David Driham, known along the coasts of Goa as simply Dudu has already found a place in part alleged fact, part folklore surrounding Goa’s drug trade. Though not convicted in any drug related case, from Israel, he faces trial in a drug case where he has claimed he was falsely implicated.
Dudu, who continues to live in Goa an under trial, donned the avatar of a juice seller operating a juice shop called Fruit slush, within a major EDM festival at Vagator in between of two main stages for three consecutive days from Dec 27 to 29.
On Thursday evening he was seen sitting on the juice counter wearing black jeans, white colour T-shirt and shoes. Some senior policemen were also seen visiting his stall to sample Dudu’s fruit salad.
The House committee report on police-drug dealer nexus makes a mention of him and so does his name crop up in ANC records. Dudu was arrested by the anti-narcotics cell of Goa Police in 2010, ostensibly with a cocktail of drugs.
The CBI now handling the case has filed charges and trail is awaited. Of course, Dudu and his lawyers a have maintained that the guy is a businessman, falsely implicated, something which the Goa government in its newsletter (according to an Indian Express ‘agencies’ report)  admitted to, by mentioning that “Goa Police are ashamed of (the act of) a police sub-inspector and four constables falsely implicating David Driham, an Israeli national living at Anjuna”
Dudu incidentally now speaks Konkani and  also makes wooden cottages on the beach for living.
