Merces gram sabha debates on issue of GMC quarters

MERCES: The allotment of panchayat funds for amenities around the GMC quarters was debated at the Curca gram sabha on Sunday. When the issue cropped up, villagers from one group sought to know why panchayat funds should be utilized to maintain roads and street lights of GMC quarters, when the panchayat does not generate any income from GMC.
