MGP president says party will win 12 seats

PONDA: MGP President Deepak Dhavalikar, who accompanied four MGP candidates, who filed their nominations in Ponda taluka on Tuesday, said that the party will win at least 12 seats all over Goa. Pointing out that last year it won 5 seats, MGP is contesting 19 ZP seats this year.

He added that the people are fed up with BJP due to its administration failures and that MGP will highlight these issues. He added that BJP has failed on governance especially the Mhadei issue as well as other issues such as unemployment and resumption of mining. He criticised BJP for not having funds to carry out development works.

Stating that the public wants a change in scenario, he called the ZP election, a semi-final ahead of the 2022 Assembly elections. He also called on the opposition parties to unite and show the BJP its place in the elections.  Speaking about an alliance with Congress, he said they would support them if they receive support in return.
