PONDA: Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) President Deepak Dhavlikar reacting to demand of Core Committee and Block Committee members of MGP in Pernem Constituency said that ‘MGP will never give ticket to Tourism Minister Manohar Babu Ajgaonkar to contest Assembly elections.’
Dhavlikar said, “Babu Ajgaonkar betrayed MGP when he was needed for party and in any circumstances in future he will not be given re-entry into MGP. How will we face people and what will tell them if we give him re-entry into MGP who has betrayed us,” said Dhavlikar.
Reportedly, the Core Committee and Block Committee members of MGP in Pernem Constituency had taken decision in meeting to give party ticket to Manohar (Babu) Ajgaonkar for upcoming Assembly elections. The decision will be forwarded to the leaders of the party.
The decision was taken after MGP Pernem candidate Pravin Arlekar resigned two days back.
He is expected to join BJP on Monday.
