NSUI urges Govt to shut colleges

PANJIM: The Nationalist Students Union of India (NSUI) Goa President Naushad Chowdhari has once again demanded that government should immediately shut down educational institutions and implement restrictions to contain the spread of COVID, on account of rising cases of Omicron in Maharashtra. 

“Online classes should be started again to stop the spread of COVID. Also exams should be conducted online. Colleges are starting from Monday, hence the government should take decision at earliest,” he said addressing a press conference.

“Omicron is more transmissible than the Delta variant. However, the State government has not taken any measures to contain COVID,” he said alleging that Chief Minister has failed to control COVID situation.
