Mhadei River submerges roads, field of Sattari villages

SATTARI:  Past few years, during the monsoon season especially following heavy rainfalls the main road of Sonal village which is connected to the Valpoi town becomes submerged with the spilling Mhadei river water and this year it is no exception. It takes a week time to Mhadei river flow level to subside and all through this time the Sonal villagers are stuck inside village. The said main road is only means for the villagers to stay connected to outside the world. 

Today due to the incessant rainfall in State the Mhadei River has swelled and taken the village road under its wrap.

Besides this, all tributaries of Mhadei River in Sattari Taluka are overflowing flooding the cultivated farms and paddy fields of other villages. All main roads of the villages are flooded with rain water in Sattari.
