PONDA: The rivers and nullahs in Ponda Taluka were flooding on Thursday with swelled-up Mhadei River tributaries like Ganjem and Khandepar. The Ganjem tributary breached the banks, inundated the roads and even enters into some houses located along the bank. The traffic halted for some time as roads became submerged at Usgao, Ganjem and Valpoi; the river was also witnessed flowing over the Ganjem Bridge for some time.
The Khandepar at OPA was also flowing dangerously. Mahadev Temple premise at Nagzar Curti was submerged too got immersed by Ponda main nullah.
