In a daring day light robbery, thieves struck rich from a thickly populated area in Caranzalem decamping with cash and jewelry worth Rs 4.5 lakh.
According to police, Mrs Alison Amaral, resident of Models Millennium, Caranzalem, complained that between 12.30 pm and 12.45 pm, unknown persons effected entry into the flat by breaking the latch of the main door and committed roberry.
She claimed that her jewelry worth Rs 4,28,500 and cash Rs 25,000 were missing from the cupboard.
A case under section 454, 380 of IPC has been registered against unknown persons at the Panjim police station.
