VASCO: The Vasco Traffic Police Cell launched a special drive against drunk driving and booked 30 violations, including six for drunk driving, within just two hours, late on Wednesday night.
The drive was conducted under the guidance of Vasco Traffic Police Cell PI Shailesh Narvekar at Birla Cross junction, Vasco. Speaking to mediapersons on Thursday, PI Narvekar said, “We had a special drive at Birla Cross junction for two hours between 11 pm and 1 am on Wednesday. With the launch of the drive for just two hours, we managed to book 24 cases for violations of the Motor Vehicle Act. We even managed to book six cases of drunk driving within just two hours since the drive was initiated.”
“The Vasco Traffic Police Cell has now decided to carry out such drives at various locations till the end of the year end,” he added.
