MARGAO: Minister for Environment, Aleixo Sequeira, expressed dissatisfaction with the slow pace of the construction of toilets at the South Goa Collectorate complex and reprimanded the officials concerned, during an inspection on Tuesday.
Following his inspection, the Minister noted that despite issuing directives, there has been limited progress in the aforementioned works.
During a session addressing public grievances at the South Goa Collectorate chamber, Sequeira expressed dismay upon learning that administrative approval for the proposal of estimating compound wall construction and furniture procurement for the animal and husbandry premises at Sonsodo is still pending.
Acknowledging that the proposed file is reportedly stalled within the department, Sequeira assured that the matter will be thoroughly investigated to expedite its resolution.
Regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Sequeira asserted his confidence in a victory for the BJP candidate in South Goa.
