PANJIM: The winter chill has set in with the minimum temperature dropping to 17 degrees Celsius, which is below the average in the State.
The Indian Meteorological department (IMD) has recorded a minimum temperature of 17.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. The average night temperature is 20 degrees Celsius.
While the nights are chilly, the mercury soars in the morning and day temperatures have been recorded as high as 33 degrees Celsius that is two degrees Celsius above normal.
IMD has predicted dry weather for the State for the rest of the week.
