MARGAO: Saraswati Trimbak Ajgaonkar, the mother of Tourism and Sports Minister Manohar alias Babu Ajgaonkar passed away on Saturday at their residence at Pajifond-Margao. She was 86 years old.
Her funeral was held in the evening at 4 pm at Margao crematorium. All Gandhi market and part of New Market shops remained closed on Saturday as vendors reached out to their leader Babu to offer their sympathies.
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, Sudin and his brother Deepak Dhavalikar, Lavoo Mamlatdar, Digamber Kamat and several other leaders visited the family and offered their sympathies. She is survived by her children, grand children and great grandchildren.
