VASCO: Minister for Transport Mauvin Godinho along with Airports Authority of India Director Dabolim Gagan Malik, GSIDC and other department officials conducted a joint inspection of grade separator and the nearby area, roads and traffic movement, at Dabolim Airport, on Saturday morning.
Later speaking to media, Godinho informed that he is not in a hurry to inaugurate the grade separator and it might take another 45 days for it to be operational.
He said that during joint inspection he along with other officials noticed that some minor works of approach roads, broadening of some portion of the roads are required for free flow of traffic which will be done within a month’s time. Once these minor works are complete, the grade separator will be inaugurated.
Meanwhile, Malik informed that around 1.5 crore of funds will be utilised for the beautification of internal as well as external area of the airport terminal building.
