CANACONA: A driver was seriously injured when his Volkswagen car crashed into roadside vegetation in the intervening night of Friday and Saturday at Shelli, Canacona.
Sources said that the car driver who was travelling towards Karwar crashed into roadside vegetation after brushing against cement pole and a wild tree a little away from the NH66 Road at Shelli.
“The mishap occurred as the driver on the wheels of the hatchback fell asleep,” sources added.
The injured driver was shifted to Canacona Health Center and after administration of first aid was later taken to Hospicio Hospital, Margao for further treatment.
