Miramar school gets notice over donations

PANJIM: Education Department has issued a notice to a Miramar-based high school over allegations of the school demanding donations from parents of children seeking admission.

PANJIM: Education Department has issued a notice to a Miramar-based high school over allegations of the school demanding donations from parents of children seeking admission. The notice issued to the school is based on a complaint filed by Advocate Aires Rodrigues and is returnable in seven days.
The complainant has accused the school of collecting donations illegally and forcibly asking students and parents to sell lotteries issued by the institution. He has sought that all the donations illegally collected be refunded to the parents and an FIR for cheating be registered against the school management.
