PONDA: Five flats were targeted by miscreants and valuables worth Rs 2 lakh were taken away from one of the flat at Bethseda Building, near Borim Circle on Thursday morning.
Theft from two other flats is yet to be estimated while two flats were learnt to be empty.
According to Ponda police, burglars entered into the five flats at Bethseda Building on Thursday sometime between 8 am to 12 pm.
One flat owner Josefa Fernandes in her complaint stated that cash of Rs 1.50 lakh and a gold chain worth Rs 50,000 was stolen from her flat.
It is learnt that the owner of the building is residing in one flat and had gone out for some paper work of her bungalow in the morning when robbery took place.
A case has been registered under Section 380 and 454 of IPC and further investigation is in process.
