MARGAO: The anti-encroachment drive of the Margao Municipality has got several businesses in the dock for not possessing trade licence. The Margao municipality accounts and taxation team undertook the drive at Vidyanagar areas.
Chief Officer Siddhivinayak Naik said that during the drive around Vidyanagar areas, they noticed several shops operating without trade licences and have issued notices to these shops.
“There are 8 businesses in Vidyanagar areas that do not have trade licence. We have issued notice to them and have asked them to show compliance,” he said.
