VASCO: The Mormugao Municipal Council Chairperson Damodar Kaskar along with Councillor Prajay Mayekar inspected the waste dumping site at Sada, here, on Monday, to do assessment of the left over refuse-derived fuel (RDF) and inert waste.
After the inspection, Chairperson Kaskar assured to clear the remaining waste within two months. The transportation of the leftover inert waste and RDF has commenced and around 50 per cent of the stock has been cleared.
“Due to COVID-19 pandemic the work of clearing inert watse and RDF had remained which now has commenced,” he added.
Chairperson Kaskar and Councillor Mayekar thanked Urban Development Minister Milind Naik, who has fulfilled his promise to clear the legacy waste of over 30 years from Sada, Vasco.
