The Mormugao Municipal Council carried out a surprise inspection outside the Vasco Railway Station on Tuesday. The MMC removed the stalls that had encroached on the roads instead of being on the footpath allotted to them. The MMC Chairperson Leo Rodrigues stated that most stall owners were yet to pay their dues. He also informed that the stalls operate in unhygienic conditions
