VASCO: The Mormugao Municipal Council has decided to issue demolition notices to those encroaching the road leading to Bowteshwar Temple at Vollant, Vasco.
According to CO, MMC wants to construct a protection wall near from the Chapel to Bowteshwar Temple at Vollant and the work for the same has been awarded to M/s Unique Construction. However due to encroachments along the road, the execution of the work has been withheld.
“Since the contractor cannot move the machinery to carry out the work, I have decided to give seven days time to the encroachers advising them to remove the encroachments failing which MMC will remove them.” Official notices will be issued on Thursday,” CO said.
