Fishermen said the concern Talathi inspected and conducted panchanama of the loss, however till date they have not received any communication from the concerned department of Mamlatdar or Fisheries Department. They highlighted that they are already facing several problems as they do not have any permanent shade for their boats and material to store.
They claimed that for the past several years they have been asking the government for a fishing jetty. However during every election the local leaders assure them that they would fulfill their demands, however after the election, their problems cpompletely ignored.
They also claimed that their business is in danger since the Fisheries Department has completely failed to take up their issue and get to a solution. “We request the government to look into this and provide us with compensation,” fisherman Dhuri said.
