MAPUSA: Village Panchayat Socorro Sarpanch Sandeep Vazarkar and Deputy Sarpanch Deepali Satardekar were voted out by 6-0 votes.
It may be recalled that earlier this week, six members of Village Panchayat Socorro submitted a letter to Block Development Officer Bardez expressing no-confidence motion against Sarpanch Vazarkar and Deputy Satardekar, who had recently joined the BJP.

The no-confidence motion notice was signed by panchas Anil Pednekar, Maya Keni, Sanjay Pednekar, Sandeep Manjrekar, Ravlu Parsekar and Reshma Morajkar.
The panchas had accused the sarpanch of not taking other members into confidence in the village developmental activities and failed to take action against illegal construction and land grabbing within the jurisdiction of village panchayat.
