VASCO: Nine out of 11 panchas of Sancoale Village Panchayat moved a no-confidence motion against Sarpanch Ramakant Borkar, on Tuesday.
After the motion, Mormugao Block Development Officer Prasidh Naik has called a meeting in the panchayat on October 12.

The no-confidence motion notice against Sarpanch Borkar has been signed by Deputy Sarpanch Sucorina Vales and eight other panchas including Nandini Desai, Kavita Kamal, Girish Pillai, Harish Kadar, Govind Lamani, Satish Padwalkar, Tulshidas Naik and Narayan Naik. With the exception of Sarpanch Borkar and his wife Panch Sunita Borkar, rest of the panchas of Sancoale signed the on no-confidence motion notice.
Further, three reasons have been cited for moving this motion notice filed by the arbitrator members.
It is well-known that Sarpanch Borkar is the confidante of Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho. Despite this, 9 out of 11 members have moved no-confidence motion against Borkar and this has become a hot topic of discussion in Sancoale village.
