MAPUSA: Calangute MLA Michael Lobo on Tuesday informed that electricity sub-station project for Calangute will be inaugurated by December.
Lobo was speaking during the inauguration function of 200 kva transformer at Agarwado-Calangute. He informed that all the panels are ready and transformers are here and they are only waiting for the civil work to complete.

He said that a meeting is scheduled on October 18 with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant to discuss plan which will be made by the PWD to solve the electricity and water issues in the coastal belt by having all in one infrastructure.
“The PWD has been asked to prepare for a plan and this project is also put before the Chief Minister. In the meeting scheduled on October 18, further decision will be taken. All the roads in Calangute will be hot-mixed by November,” he said.
