Most unhealthy state of affairs

With all the cleanliness drive that we read about happening in India, it appears that Goa doesn’t seem to be on the Government agenda. I witnessed a most bizarre incident at Vasco market.

Vendors and shopkeepers of the market area here are dumping garbage on the side of the road.
All this continues to take place with our new governance headed by the ex–minister of health. I was under the notion, (now seemingly misguided), that under his leadership there would be a mission to clean up the city on a war footing. I am writing this out of pure frustration, it gives me a sick feeling that there still seems to be no remedy in Goa for the continual garbage menace.
What a disgrace! Without a doubt, the chronic garbage crises in and around most of the cities in Goa is so appalling, it requires a permanent fix.
The port town should be ashamed of this kind of mess and should be raising all kinds of concerns, if not health issues!
