It is one of the busiest roads and has become an accident prone zone for the vehicles. There is nobody to either monitor or guide the traffic in proper order, while traffic cops are seen only when some political leaders arrive in Goa from out of state.
There is an urgent need to depute the traffic cops at least during the peak hours during the evening especially where lot of traffic jams occur at the junction. What adds the misery is the pitiful condition of the students of the Keshav Smurthi School which poses a high risk of accidents.
This junction has witnessed a lot of accidents in the past and still we have not yet learnt a lesson out it. Are we waiting for yet another incident to occur? Through the Herald Citizen column I appeal to the authorities concerned to take up an immediate step and depute a traffic police to control the traffic and avoid accidents.
