PONDA: Kadar Goues Vanti (19) from Collem died of serious injuries he suffered in a road mishap, on Sunday.
Police stated Kabil K N from Tamil Nadu drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and banged into a Hero passion motorbike of the victim and fled from the spot. Vanti and pillion rider Anna Durai were knocked down.
Vanti later succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to hospital.
