Mugali rape accused held

MARGAO, MAY 10 
The Maina Curtorim police have arrested the accused in the alleged rape of a 15-year old minor girl that took place at Mugali in Sao Jose de Areal.
The accused Adul Riyaz (28) was nabbed by the police from Fatorda last night, the Maina Curtorim police has informed. The minor girl had complained of rape after the accused gave her a lift from Margao and later allegedly took her to an isolate place behind a place of worship, before sexually assaulting her.
The Maina Curtorim police are investigating, even as a local court here has remanded the accused to five days police custody.
