Mulgaon Villagers Oppose Mining Activity Despite Demarcation Work, Demand Clear Buffer Zone

Following directions from the Chief Minister, the Mines Department has begun demarcation of the Vedanta Limited-operated mining area in Mulgaon, responding to long-standing demands from local residents.

While the move has provided some temporary relief, villagers have reiterated their firm opposition to any resumption of mining activity until a buffer zone is clearly marked in accordance with the Regional Plan 2021.
