PORVORIM: The three accused who were arrested on Tuesday evening in connection with the murder of a Nigerian at Lobowado–Parra on October 31 have been remanded to 14 days police custody.

The accused, Omkar Palyekar, Prayag Palyekar and Prajyot Dhabholker, were produced before the Mapusa Judicial Magistrate First class on Wednesday.

The two other accused, Surendra Pol and Pravin Mandrekar, who were earlier arrested were remanded to 10 days police custody.

Mapusa police has, so far, arrested five of the 13 suspects in the murder.

With the prime accused, Omkar Palyekar, now in police custody, police are hopeful of arresting the remaining suspects.
