MARGAO: Vijay Kerkatta (50) was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Umesh Dungdung at Verna. It may be recalled that following a discussion on October 8, 2018, Kerkatta assaulted Dungdung, as a result, he fell on the ground and Kerkatta hit Dungdung on his face with a laterite stone causing his death. Public Prosecutor Ladislau Fernandes argued the case on behalf of the State.
