Navi Mumbai local held for restraining cop

A 28-year-old man from Navi Mumbai was arrested by Calangute Police on charges of restraining a police officer from discharging his duties at Candolim on Wednesday.
According to Calangute Police, Atul Vaishavin had wrongly parked his vehicle (MH-43-AB-4886) and had blocked the entry to the venue of Sunburn festival at Candolim.
When police officers led by Traffic Cell PI Uday Parab and others tried to convince him to remove the vehicle, Vaishavin allegedly misbehaved with PI Parab and snatched the electronic traffic baton from the Home Guard Sandeep Shetgaonkar, causing loss of Rs 450 to government property. 
Vaishavin was later arrested based on a complaint by Bhusan Digamber Harmalkar. PSI Gaurish Parab is investigating the case.
