NCP appoints new State chief

PANJIM: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) national working president Praful Patel has appointed Shambhu Madhukar Parab as the party’s State unit president even as former Minister Jose Philip D’Souza claimed he was still the State president of original NCP headed by its supremo Sharad Pawar. 

Patel, vide communication dated September 19, 2023 has appointed Shambhu Parab from Paliem, Pernem, as State president of NCP, Goa with immediate effect and has also expressed confidence that the new State president will work with great zeal and dedication to strengthen the party organisation in the State.

Parab thanked Patel for appointing a loyal party worker as the State president and said that he will strive hard to strengthen the party organisation in the State. 

On the other hand, Jose Philip claimed that the NCP’s Ajit Pawar faction has appointed a former office clerk as its State president.
