PANJIM: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said his government will assess the need of more staff in the departments before issuing advertisements.
Parrikar said that at no point of time did he ban or stop recruitment. “We have kept recruitment on hold till December,” he said.
He stated that all the departments will be asked to submit their requirements first which would be assessed. “After assessing the requirement we will issue advertisements,” the CM stated.
Recruitment in government departments was banned on November 22 last year by the Laxmikant Parsekar government. The ban was partially lifted after Parrikar assumed power but the election code of conduct for the Panchayat poll and the by-polls delayed the process.
