Nepali held for theft of metal crash barriers

MAPUSA: Mapusa police arrested a Nepali for theft of metal crash barriers worth Rs 50,000.
According to Mapusa police, the incident took place along the national highway at Guirim on site of highway contractor.
Gangaram Kale, the manager had lodged a complaint stating that an unknown person stole around 20 metal crush barriers worth Rs 50,000 from their site which are used by contractor for highway expansion and these barriers were kept along the highway at Guirim.
Acting on the complaint, Mapusa police registered a theft case and during the investigation police recovered a rickshaw involved in transporting the metal crash barriers and arrested on Sanju Bikhe, 29, presently residing at Karaswada.
