SANGUEM: The Village Panchayat of Neturlim led by Sarpanch Rajani Gaonkar and Deputy Sarpanch Abhijit Dessai have complained of poor electricity supply in the village and the huge losses suffered by villagers due to frequent power fluctuations.
Since the past few months, the power fluctuations and tripping has become a regular feature in the village and this has affected the day-to-day affairs of the people residing at Netravali village.
In a representation addressed to the Assistant Engineer, Electricity Department Sanguem, the sarpanch highlighted the problems faced by the villagers, due to erratic power supply.
The representation states that over the past few weeks the villagers faced regular power cuts in the afternoons, which was restored only on the next day, besides requesting the immediate deployment of night staff in the village.
A request was also made to change the old electricity cables in the village and replace the faulty and outdated transformers.
