New chariot installed at Sristhal’s Mallikarjun temple

CANACONA: The Chariot built by artisans in Kumta, Karnataka costing over Rs 20 lakh arrived on Sunday at Mallikarjun temple in Sristhal to the joy of the devotees.

CANACONA: The Chariot built by artisans in Kumta, Karnataka costing over Rs 20 lakh arrived on Sunday at Mallikarjun temple in Sristhal to the joy of the devotees.
The devotees of Shri Mallikarjun temple had gathered in the morning to witness the arrival of the new chariot at Sristhal panchayat. 
The temple committee members and the people gathered gave a grand welcome as the vehicle carrying the chariot arrived at 10.30 am on Sunday to the delight of all. 
Sristhal Deputy Sarpanch Ms Vidhya Gayak offered a garland of flowers to the chariot in the presence of president of the temple committee Anil Naikgaonkar, Sarpanch Devendra Naik, Panch Ganesh Gaonkar and the devotees gathered at the venue. 
Later, the vehicle carrying the chariot was driven to the precincts of the Shri Mallikarjun temple to the beats of the drums and other traditional instruments resonating festive mood all around.
