PANJIM: The members of Goa Youth Congress on Wednesday held a protest at Agassaim Police Station against the delay in investigating the death case of a month-old baby reported last week.
The protest led by Youth Congress president Varad Mardolkar demanded fast tracking of the case.
“We don’t want Goa to become a State like UP and Bihar,” Mardolkar said.
He said that police are not serious towards the case and hence till date not a single arrest has been made.
Another leader Janardhan Bhandari said people of Goa need speedy investigation into this matter.
“The criminals who killed this infant are walking scot-free. This is unacceptable” he said.
The police informed the protestors that the department is quite serious about the issue and they are conducting investigation according to procedure.
