MARGAO: GOACAN vide a letter has drawn South District Collector Tariq Thomas’ attention to the various abandoned vehicles found in different places in the district even in some villages and pointed out that these vehicles are using space that could have otherwise been used for parking.
They further pointed out that some of the vehicles are an eye sore as they are totally in a bad shape since they have been abandoned for years. In fact some of the vehicles have become garbage dumping site and some are being used for open defecation.
The organization has appealed to the Collector to direct the relevant authorities to take action against these abandoned vehicles with the help of the municipal councils and directorate of panchayats.
